Coaching is a rewarding experience, and with it comes great responsibility. A coach can make the difference between a child loving a sport ... or leaving it. We expect all of our coaches to:
- Make the experience fun, by having a good sense of humor and incorporating fun into practices.
- Demonstrate respect at all times, especially with referees and the coaches of other teams.
- Create a team culture of positive encouragement - one where players openly encourage one another.
- Communicate openly with the parents, requesting feedback periodically.
- Remain calm under pressure and be flexible when things don't go perfectly.
- Be fair and inclusive - treating all players equally and providing equal opportunities to shine.
- Demonstrate the behaviors they want their players to demonstrate.
